Intention Statement

I am here at Full Sail University to become a Master of Media Design in order to become a better design teacher. To me, being a master has meant to know graphic design inside and out, and be able to understand and either answer or find the answer to any questions that may arise.

Oprah Winfrey “define[s] a master as someone who has fully stepped in and owned the full progress and trajectory of their life.”

When I was first thinking about getting my Master’s degree, before I ever even started my Bachelor’s degree, I expect to learn everything there is to learn in that one program. That being a master meant being able to do everything in adobe creative cloud, but I am realizing it is a more feasible goal to not try and learn everything there is to know, but instead learn how to discover everything and how to think like a master. To master your specific niche. I can learn and explore more throughout my career, graduating from Full Sail will not be the end of the Journey, but a stepping off point.

Over the next twelve months though. I plan to study other industry-leading masters, find those of which I admire and learn to be more like them.

Over the next twelve months, I plan to dedicate my life entirely to my future goals. I want to become a full-time professor, teaching design is my niche. And I plan to spend more time making my classroom successful, planning great lessons, bringing students to Skills USA, and becoming the best possible teacher in order to master this skill.

Over the next twelve months, I hope to create some extraordinary projects that stem from a deeper level of creative thinking.

And lastly, over the next twelve months, I hope that I can begin to pass the thinking skills I begin to develop along to my students.
